About

I am a daughter of the most high God – He is my daily sustenance and guide. The foundation for all that we do and the way that we live is a desire to live wholly for our Lord and to follow His will.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Cole and love learning more about how to be his helpmeet. I believe in the biblical call of a woman to be a keeper at home (Titus 2). I seek to be constantly growing in my skill knowledge and application that will help me better fulfill the role as Cole’s wife and someday, our children’s mother.

We seek to live a life that is simple and natural, believing that we have been called by God to be good stewards of all that he has blessed us with. We enjoy working towards ensuring that our home provides warmth, comfort, and a reminder of God’s goodness to all that enter.

We are actively pursuing a lifestyle of relative self-sufficiency, rational minimalism, and (urban) homesteading while living within the restrictions of our suburban home owner’s association. On this blog you can expect to find glimpses into the things we are learning and doing as we journey. Things such as recipes, natural health care, holistic health, gardening, bulk food purchasing, natural home care, practical crafts, etc.

We may live in Kansas, the wheat state, but due to celiac disease I am completely gluten free and my sweet Cole is often gluten free with me. Due to other health concerns I also try to eat low on the glycemic index. Some days my dietary restrictions feel overwhelming, but in general I try to see them as encouragement for further experimentation and continued learning in the kitchen.

We pray that this blog will be a place where you will be both encouraged and inspired in your own lives and homes.
