My Household Servants

The Proverbs 31 woman has servant girls. It would be easy as a woman to complain that there is no way that we can be held to her standard of hard work when she had servants.

However, if I think for a bit…I have them too. They may not have two arms, two hands, and two feet. But, they have electricity.

This servant makes bread for our family.

This servant washes our dishes after we have eaten.

This servant washes our clothes.

This servant cooks our food.

Given all of these servants, and many more, in my home, I do have help making and keeping my home. It is my responsibility then, like the Proverbs 31 woman, to make sure that I plan for how these servants can be helpful to our family.

this is a great reminder! as much as we complain that we can’t be a P31 woman, we can do our best with what we have– and we HAVE a lot.
