I LOVE music!!
Music has a way of speaking to my heart. So, when I listen to encouraging and God honoring music my heart is encouraged and spurned on to good works.
I have written several posts over this year about remaining encouraged and optimistic. Another way that I work towards being a person who is optimistic and heaven focused despite the evil and depravity around me (working with little kids in a low income area, trust me, I see it) is to listen to encouraging music.
These songs which focus on God’s love for me, his guidance and will for my life, and my desire to live for him lift my spirits. They remind me of truths found in scripture. They comfort my weary heart. They encourage me to keep on in the fight.
