Playing is Learning :: PlayDoh and Clay

Play Doh and clay are great for developing the finger/hand strength and coordination necessary to develop writing skills. Allow children free play time. Have them make “snakes” using the palms of their hands and also with their fingers. Roll little balls with the palm, between the thumb and a finger on the same hand, and between matching fingers on each hand together. Squeeze it and push it.

Have a blast!
