I had a wonderful day yesterday – home for a snow day and celebrating my birthday!
I was slow and lazy in the morning; I spent it thinking about and planning for some new crafts! Then I headed to my friend Staci’s house to play and have lunch with her and her three sweet babes. It was a blast – I always love time with that family and leave feeling so encouraged! And those sweet kids made me some very sparkly pictures. They are now hanging proudly on my fridge:

Staci made me a beautiful pair of green earrings and, while making them, taught me how to make my own! Aren’t these beautiful?

I then headed into town and went shopping for craft materials with my birthday money. I had so much fun browsing the isles, plotting new projects, and enjoying the bright colors and inspiration!
Cole and I met up for dinner – which was fantastic – and I had an amazing molten chocolate dessert. It was a wonderful time of talking and enjoying each other’s company.
When we got home, we watched the BCS championship and I started to work using my new jewelry making supplies. It was so wonderful and inspiring to work with my hands and let the creative juices flow. For months I have been working myself like crazy trying to keep up with teaching and being a student. My creative juices have been hidden away and last night I let them loose and it was simply amazing. I love being creative and working with my hands!! Oh creativity, how I have missed you!!
Vanessa! Can you email me your email address? I have a friend (military wife) who is moving to Manhattan and cannot find a day-care on base for her baby. I know your family lives in Manhattan, and I thought maybe I would ask if they knew anywhere… a church daycare, a private one… anywhere!
xoxo thanks so much!!!
Yay!! So glad we could help celebrate your birthday! I saw you wearing green on Sunday and wondered if you were wearing them there.
I was!
