We switched several months ago to using cloth napkins instead of paper ones. Purchasing napkins is incredibly expensive and creates a whole lot of waste! We were given a cute set of napkins for our wedding and they store wonderfully in our napkin holder from when we used disposables.

A dinner with cloth napkins just appear to be more elegant! Napkins can also be reused several days in a row provided that they are used by the same person and do not become filthy at a meal.
They have been a simple, frugal, and krunchy change!

I have thought about making this change since we go through paper napkins so quickly and I hate paying for them. I would like to have a good stash of them, so think I will start looking for some in clearance sections of my favorite stores. Thanks for the inspiration!!
This is something I should do too. We’re at a point where we hardly use any paper towels but when we need a napkin that is what we grab. They should be pretty easy to make too, especially since they don’t require much fabric. Thanks for the inspiration!
I have been pondering this idea. I want to learn to sew, so I think making cloth napkins will be good practice! Thanks for helping me move on this idea!
It would be great practice – go for it Angie!
It’s funny that you posted this on my parent’s 38th wedding anniversary. We never used paper napkins growing up. We were classy and used kitchen towels.
