I put the pages in page protectors because I was getting tired of the dog-earred corners on the papers. I had the same problem, I couldn't find the sections that I needed. I went to the office supply store and bought some sticky colored tabs (the kind you slide a little piece of paper into with the title) and stuck them on the page protectors.
