Cleaning the kitchen can be just as easy, inexpensive, and natural as cleaning the bathroom!

Counters and Sink:
Hydrogen peroxide is a great disinfectant and does a wonderful job cleaning up the kitchen and keeping it clean and safe.

Fridge and Freezer:
Clean surfaces with hydrogen peroxide. Keep a bowl or box of baking soda in the fridge to absorb order and keep foods from sharing their scents with each other.

Microwave and Stove Top:
Sprinkle with baking soda. Spray with vinegar and scrub. Spray with water and wipe up to remove the white residue from the baking soda.

Are hydrogen peroxide and vinegar safe to use in households with pets? I have 3 kitties and one who is very curious and gets into everything (even eating hair or plastic off the floor!) and wanted to make sure it wouldn’t be toxic to my little furballs.

    • Vanessa says:

Yes Marisa, vinegar and hydrogen peroxide are both completely safe for pets. They are definitely more safe than the chemicals that are found in most commercial cleaners! Vinegar is safe for people and pets to ingest and hydrogen peroxide is also safe for use with pets. We use these cleaners for our health, our future kids’ health, and our puppy’s health :)

You make a good point! I can’t wait to replace my household cleaners with natural alternatives. Thanks so much!
