Kinda Krunchy :: Cleaning the Bathroom

The bathroom is the room that seems to have the greatest potential to be absolutely nasty! However, a few inexpensive ingredients can get even the dirtiest of bathrooms to sparkle!

Mirror, Counters, and Toilet:
Spray a little bit of hydrogen peroxide or vinegar on the mirror. Wipe clean with a clean cloth.

Toilet Bowl:
Sprinkle inside of the bowl with baking soda. Spray with vinegar. Scrub with a toilet brush or sponge. Flush to rinse the bowl. For tough stains, spray with hydrogen peroxide, allow to sit, scrub, and flush.

Shower and Tub:
Sprinkle with baking soda. Spray with vinegar and scrub. This works wonders – our shower had a brown bottom (a sure sign that there had been lots of gardening and outdoor fun recently). This simple solution cleaned it right up and made that filthy shower sparkle!

Fixtures:
Soaking fixtures in or spraying them with and letting them sit in vinegar does wonder for those fixtures! Just spray, soak, and wipe clean.

Shower Doors:
Spray with hydrogen peroxide and then with vinegar (you cannot mix these before spraying) and scrub. If the build-up is good and thick, use some baking soda with this mixture to make a soft scrub. This combination will make those glass shower doors as good as new!

Floors:
Spray with hydrogen peroxide or vinegar and wipe clean.
