“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
– Matthew 6:25-27

It’s so easy to worry right now. The economy and solutions for it. The unfair separation of families. Cancer and other serious illness. Our military overseas and the fear of terrorism. Just dealing with the in and outs of daily life.
It all feels so overwhelming sometimes. And then I remember these words that Jesus spoke. And I know that my trust and security is safe in his hands.
One reason that I made and love using this bag is because of the reminder that it provides to me – the birds of the air do not worry about eating and yet they are fed and cared for.

My loving God loves me more than he loves those birds. How silly of me to worry.
He is all that I need.

my boyfriend keeps reminding me of that verse because i am such a worrier. it really is a good one! – even though sometimes, it’s hard to believe/put in to practice.
ps. i love that bird’s little squiggle legs.
Adorable! And a fantastic reminder of God’s love and care for us. Thanks for sharing!
