Home Tour :: The Guest Rooms

Now that the basement is finished, we have two guest rooms!

The first room has a twin bed and a crib (The crib was purchased when my youngest brother, who is 5, was born. We have it set up so that friends don’t have to bring the Pack and Play every time that they come over). Take a look!

The other guest room has the full size bed and will be used more often for overnight guests. You’ll notice lots of K-State! Go Cats!

I love having pretty rooms for guests to sleep in!

Part of my prayer when we bought this house was that it would be used by God to encourage, love, and nurture people. I feel like all of this work to finish the basement has not only given us a place that we love to spend time together, but it has also given us more room to entertain and more room to have company for extended visits. And that is a WONDERFUL thing!

Vanessa, your rooms are lovely, spotless and welcoming! Do you have a set up cleaning schedule for your home duties or do you just make a list as each day comes? I am trying to decide what I need to do so I don’t get behind with my home duties. Any suggestions??

I love your header photo. And I love the explanation for the crib :) and understand, too! The guest rooms look great!

Yes, Becky – you can sleep over in the same town as your own house anytime you want!!

Becky, it cracks me up the way you tend to ask questions as I am starting to think about a blog post on that subject! I have a schedule that I am trying out right now to get tasks done while I am teaching full time and EXHAUSTED when I get home. So far, I think it’s working well for me. I’ll be posting more soon!

Thanks Anna! I think all newly weds should have a crib – it just works so well for having friends with babies!

  5. LOVE your house! Those rooms are sooo cute and I love that little niche in the second bedroom. Thanks for visiting and I’ll be back. Your blog is precious!
