Today is Frugal Friday at Biblical Womanhood. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading these posts week after week but today is my first day to post. I know there are tons of practical and simple things that we do around here to save money, but I can never think of them. I start today.

We purchased a set of these dryer balls with a coupon and a gift card fairly early in our marriage. I love them!

Some people don’t like them because they were advertised as doing the job better than dryer sheets and they feel that they do exactly the same job as sheets. I like them better because:

1. They do just as well as dryer sheets for removing wrinkles and softening fabrics.

2. They do not cause additional waste. Every time a dryer sheet is used, waste is created.

3. They don’t leave a greasy feeling on our clothes.

4. They are frugal – I would have to purchase more dryer sheets, bu I don’t have to purchase anymore dryer balls!

Those sound neat. Where did you buy them at?

  2. Vanessa says:

We got them at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. But I know stores like wal-mart and target have them too.

Vanessa- I didn’t know you had a blog!

Very cool about the dryer balls. I’ve seen those many times at Bed Bath & Beyond, but had never given them a second thought. Dryer Sheets cause me to itch like crazy, so we don’t use those now, but I may have to try those ball things sometime!

I may have to try these. My daughter has lots of allergies and I can’t use the fabric softners. These look neat.
