At the end of last week I purchased several pounds of fruit to freeze and put away for use during the winter.

Twelve pounds of apples, two pineapples, and six green peppers. As I notice fruit on sale at the end of the harvest season, I have been picking it up to freeze for use in the winter in pies and smoothies.

All that peeling and chopping of apples took forever. But I spent that time productively listening to podcasts of John Piper’s sermons.
