They are wonderful dishes! My parents bought them when I was in high school and they have broken very few since then (with three sons and two daughters ages 5 to 22 -- that's amazing!) We have had one plate break on us but that was a dishwasher crashing incident. It's sturdy stuff, has so many beautiful colors, and they have so many fun bowl, platters, etc that match.
